The Fitz – The Basics

The Fitz is a set of luxury condos located on the Hungerford Drive section of Rockville Pike, right next door to Giant and a few blocks up from the metro.

It falls under the 20850 zip code and was built in 2003.

There are approximately 221 garden-style units with an average square size between 700 and 1200 square feet.

Bedroom and Bathroom options include 1BR/1BA, 2BR/1BA, 2BR/2BA, and 3BR/2BA varieties.

 

The Fitz – Daily Living

Parking

The Fitz offers garage parking to all of its unit owners, with each unit corresponding to at least one spot.

All parking spots are deeded and convey.

There are also 40 visitor parking spots outside the building.

Security at The Fitz

Pet Policy

Residents may possess two animals, up to 110lbs, although there are breed restrictions. Dog-owners must pay a one-time fee of $50 for DNA testing.

Metro Accessibility

The Fitz is located three blocks from the Rockville metro station and it’s an easy walk up the sidewalk.

Security 

Recreation at The FitzSecurity is on patrol from 9 or 10 at night to 4 or 5 in the morning. However, there is no other security offered (such as controlled entry doors).

Washer/Dryers

All units contain washers and dryers.

Storage

Additional storage is available, depending on what has been purchased.

Similar to garage spaces, storage spaces also convey.

Fireplaces and Elevators

Some condos are equipped with fireplaces and there are elevators through the premises.

Cable and Internet

Amenities at The FitzThe building has a group deal with Verizon Fios and residents may choose to make the service a line item of their condo fees.

Schools Districts

Students residing here at the Fitz are served by the Beall, Julius West, and Richard Montgomery school districts.

Other Notable Amenities

Other notable amenities at The Fitz include a theatre room, billiards, business center, and a  lounge area.

 

The Fitz – Cost of Living

Condo fees range between $280 and $420 per month, based on square footage.

These fees include building maintenance, as well as all amenities.

There are NO utilities covered by the condo fees.

In addition, there is a $200 move-in fee for new residents.

 

The Fitz – Recreation

There is a fitness center on-site, as well as an outdoor pool.

The Pool at The FitzThere are no tennis courts or playground/tot lots available.
